TGL Season 2 kicks off with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center to open Season 2.

The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club, reprising the final matchup from Season 1. On December 28, the two teams will face off again at the SoFi Center, where Atlanta narrowly claimed the championship last season by a single point. Before the match begins, Atlanta will raise their championship banner, followed by the competition in the standard format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. The lineups feature familiar stars: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC returns with proven strengths

Atlanta enters Season 2 with strong metrics from their previous campaign. The team excelled in Singles play, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in head-to-head Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. Meanwhile, New York rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points, showcasing his power off the tee.

Expanded playing field and new course features

The new TGL season also brings technical upgrades to the playing surface. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, enhancing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add unique flair. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
