Bernhard Langer vividly remembers his first appearance at the PNC Championship. His son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and suddenly in the mix with the game’s elite. “We had an amazing time,” Langer recalls. “Back then, he had to compete against professional teams—hitting drives and aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even though he was three over par.” It wasn’t about the score, though. “It was just a wonderful experience.” That debut marked the beginning of a cherished tradition. “I loved this tournament from the moment I was invited.”

The PNC Championship gathers golfers who have shaped the history of the sport. For Bernhard Langer, that’s a big part of the appeal. “Being out there with other Major champions and legends of the game is something truly special,” he says.
