TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown. On December 28th, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will face off in a rematch of last season’s final at the SoFi Center. Atlanta narrowly won both final matches by a single point and enters the new season as defending champions. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised, followed by the match in the standard format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams begin with three Hammers, and Atlanta will open play on the first hole. Familiar names headline the lineups: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC builds on proven success
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team was especially effective in Singles, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and showcasing his power off the tee.
New season brings technical upgrades
With the new season, TGL has introduced changes to the playing surface. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, increasing strategic options. The hole catalog has also been updated, with new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote making their debut. The course also features team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
