TGL Season 2 kicks off with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a thrilling rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

Season two of the TGL tees off with a familiar showdown. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off in a rematch of last season’s final. Atlanta emerged victorious in both final matches by a single point and enters the new season as defending champions. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised to the rafters, followed by the match in the familiar format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams begin with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off on the first hole. The lineups feature well-known names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC returns with proven strengths

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team was particularly effective in Singles, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles matches against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York Golf Club rebounded from a 0–2 start to make the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points, making a mark with his long drives off the tee.

New season brings technical upgrades

The TGL playing field has been upgraded for the new season. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, allowing for more pin placements and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf create dynamic contours, enhancing tactical options. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. A total of 15 specially designed holes will be played.
