TGL Season Two Opens with Atlanta vs. New York Rematch

TGL kicks off its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second season of TGL begins with a familiar showdown. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will face off once again, reprising the final matchup from the inaugural season. Atlanta emerged victorious in both final matches by a single point and enters the new campaign as reigning champions. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised to the rafters, followed by a match featuring the familiar Triples and Singles format. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. The lineups include well-known names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC Builds on Proven Strengths

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, earning the most Hammer points league-wide. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained unbeaten in Singles matches against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club, after a 0–2 start, rallied to make the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points and made his mark with powerful tee shots.

New Tech Enhancements Expand Strategic Options

With the season opener, TGL also introduces updates to its playing environment. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, allowing for more pin positions and varied putting lines. Beneath the turf, new actuators create adjustable contours, increasing tactical complexity. The hole catalog has also been refreshed, debuting new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
