TGL Season 2 Kicks Off with Atlanta vs. New York Rematch

TGL returns with a high-stakes rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

Season two of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC faces New York Golf Club on December 28 at the SoFi Center. This matchup mirrors last season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly clinched the title by a single point in both final matches. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised, followed by the match in the traditional TGL format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams begin with three Hammers, with Atlanta opening the round on hole one. Star-studded lineups return: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC Brings Proven Strengths

Atlanta enters the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. Meanwhile, New York rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in points and showcasing power off the tee.

Enhanced Gameplay with Technical Upgrades

The new TGL season also introduces significant course updates. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for dynamic contour changes, increasing strategic possibilities. The hole catalog has been refreshed with new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote, alongside team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
