TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club to open the second season at the SoFi Center.
The second TGL season begins with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC faces New York Golf Club on December 28. This matchup reprises the Season 1 finale, where Atlanta narrowly clinched the title by a single point in both final matches. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised in the SoFi Center, setting the stage for a match played in the familiar Triples and Singles format. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. Star-studded lineups return: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC builds on proven strengths
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled particularly in Singles, earning the most Hammer points in the league. Billy Horschel led all players in Singles points, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles matches against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York, after a 0–2 start, rallied to reach the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points, showcasing his power off the tee.
New season, new course dynamics
TGL has made several technical enhancements for Season 2. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, increasing tactical possibilities. The course layout has also evolved, introducing new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add unique flair. In total, 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
