Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship, Langer duo finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar claiming victory ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The family-team event marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour and was played in a two-round scramble format. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for 7th, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for 2nd.

The winning duo, Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they posted 15 birdies for a 15-under-par round. They followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing the tournament at an impressive 33-under-par to top the leaderboard.

Close behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II opened with nine birdies and two eagles and repeated the feat on Sunday with another 59. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru started with a 60 that included ten birdies and an eagle, and added 14 birdies on Sunday to share second place.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Steven Stricker, a former Ryder Cup captain, teamed up with his daughter Izzi to finish tied for fourth at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only LPGA Tour player in the field.

Bernhard Langer finishes T7

Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. They started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and followed up with a 60 (-10) on Sunday. Their 23-under-par total placed them in a tie for seventh on the final leaderboard.
