Marc Hammer secures his Asian Tour card after a five-hole playoff at Q-School in Hua Hin. Other Germans miss the cut.

The final stage of the Asian Tour Qualifying School (Q-School) at the Lake View Resort and Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, concluded with 35 players earning their tour cards. Among them was German golfer Marc Hammer, who clinched his spot after a tense playoff. Leading the field was China’s Lin Yuxin, who delivered a dominant performance over five rounds to top the leaderboard and secure his Asian Tour card.

Lin Yuxin tops Asian Tour Q-School

Left-handed Lin Yuxin impressed throughout the week, finishing with rounds of 68–67–70–67–67 for a total of 16-under-par. The 25-year-old, a two-time Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship winner (2017, 2019), played college golf at the University of Florida and turned professional in 2023. He has since competed on the PGA Tour Americas and selected Korn Ferry Tour events. Yuxin admitted to past putting struggles, calling them mostly “mental,” but said he worked hard on his game in October and November. “It was tough, with many ups and downs. Honestly, I just had to stay patient. I’ve learned a lot since turning pro—it’s been a valuable experience,” he said.

India’s Shaurya Bhattacharya followed closely behind, finishing second at 15-under-par after a final-round 72. Canada’s Henry Lee claimed third at 14-under-par.

The battle for the final tour cards came down to a dramatic playoff. Twelve players tied for 28th at five-under-par competed for the last eight spots. After five playoff holes, eight players emerged with cards—including Germany’s Marc Hammer. The 27-year-old from Sandhausen delivered consistent rounds of 71–67–72–70–70 to reach the playoff and ultimately secure his place on the Asian Tour. Hammer, who has previous DP World Tour experience and three top-10 finishes last season, now adds another milestone to his career.

Other German participants—Nicolas Horder (T93), Philipp Katich (T100), Wolfgang Glawe (T118), and Julius Kreutzer (T118)—missed the cut after the fourth round and did not qualify.
