Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family-team event saw Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron dominate the field. Team Kuchar finished at an impressive 33-under-par, securing a commanding victory over Team Daly and Team Love, who tied for second at 26-under.
Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to deliver two stellar rounds. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a flawless 57, followed by 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, sealing the win with a total of 33-under-par.
Strong showings from Daly and Love teams
John Daly and his son John II impressed with back-to-back rounds of 59, featuring nine birdies and two eagles each day. PGA Championship winner Davis Love III and his son Dru also performed consistently, opening with a 60 and closing with a bogey-free 58, thanks to 14 birdies.
Nelly Korda shines in family debut
LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only female professional in the field, playing alongside her father Petr. Team Korda tied for fourth with Team Stricker at 25-under-par. Steven Stricker, a former Ryder Cup captain, partnered with his daughter Izzi to post strong rounds of 61 and 58.
Team Langer finishes T7
Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. Despite a solid performance—an opening 61 followed by a 60—they finished tied for seventh at 23-under-par. The two-time Masters champion and his son remained bogey-free but fell short of the podium in a highly competitive field.
