Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship, Langer duo finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the 2025 PGA Champions Tour season. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II shared second place.

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a 57, followed by 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday to finish at 33-under-par, securing a commanding win.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son opened with nine birdies and two eagles, repeating the feat on Sunday with another 59. Davis Love III and his son Dru also impressed, starting with a 60 that included ten birdies and an eagle, followed by a bogey-free Sunday round with 14 birdies.

Nelly Korda Shines in Family Format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, finishing tied for fourth at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major champion and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, showcasing their strong family chemistry.

Defending Champions Langer Fall Short

Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t repeat their previous success. They opened with a bogey-free 61 and followed up with a 60, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place. Despite a solid performance, it wasn’t enough to reach the podium this year.
