Team Kuchar dominates 2025 PNC Championship with record score

Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking a commanding victory. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), as well as fan favorite John Daly and his son John II (T2).

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a 57, followed by another stellar round with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a clear win atop the leaderboard.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par to share second place. John Daly and his son John II impressed with consistent 59s on both days, featuring nine birdies and two eagles each round. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round including 14 birdies.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, finishing T4 at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only active LPGA player in the field.

Bernhard Langer finishes T7

Defending champion and two-time Masters winner Bernhard Langer, alongside son Jason, missed the podium this year. They posted a 61 on Saturday and improved to a 60 on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
