Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship 2025, Langer duo finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the win ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the notable participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), as well as fan favorite John Daly and his son John II (T2).

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a dominant performance. They opened with a flawless round of 15 birdies on Saturday and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a clear victory atop the leaderboard.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par to share second place. John Daly and his son John II impressed with two rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Team Love, with 1997 PGA Champion Davis Love III and his son Dru, carded a 60 on Saturday and followed it up with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, finishing tied for fourth at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The LPGA star was the only female professional in the field. Team Korda opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday.

Team Langer finishes T7

Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. The two-time Masters champion and his son posted a bogey-free 61 on Saturday and improved to a 60 on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
