Team Kuchar dominates 2025 PNC Championship with record score

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking a dominant victory. The family-team event, which marks the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour, was played in a two-round scramble format. Among the notable participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II (T2).

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a 15-under-par round. They followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to secure the win.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par to share second place. John Daly and his son John II opened with nine birdies and two eagles, repeating the feat on Sunday with another 59. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru posted a 60 on Saturday and followed with 14 birdies on Sunday to stay in contention.

Nelly Korda Shines in Family Format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, finishing tied for fourth at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, showcasing strong form throughout the event.

Bernhard Langer Misses Podium Finish

Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. The two-time Masters champion and his son posted a bogey-free 61 on Saturday and improved to a 60 on Sunday. Despite their solid play, their 23-under-par total only earned them a share of seventh place.
