Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider move into the top 20 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, while Allen John withdraws.
The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite intermittent rain and coastal winds, German players Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made significant moves up the leaderboard.
Schneider and Siem Break into the Top 20
Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a single bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before finishing with a bogey on the final hole. His 68 (-4) placed him in a tie for 20th.
Marcel Siem matched Schneider’s position with an impressive 67 (-5), carding eight birdies and two bogeys. After an over-par round on day one, Siem’s local knowledge helped him rebound strongly.

Allen John Withdraws Mid-Round
Allen John began on the 10th hole but struggled with three bogeys and a double bogey before withdrawing midway through his round. He exited the tournament at +14 overall.
At the top of the leaderboard, South Africa’s Casey Jarvis leads at -12 after a 65. France’s Alexander Levy is two shots back with a bogey-free 66, while Spain’s Manuel Elvira is close behind with a 67 (-5).
