PGA Tour: Michael Brennan Leads Heading into Final Round in Utah

Michael Brennan holds the lead at -17 going into the final round of the Bank of Utah Championship, with Stephan Jaeger climbing the leaderboard.

At the Bank of Utah Championship on the PGA Tour, American newcomer Michael Brennan extended his lead slightly with a third-round score of seven under par. Despite a double bogey on the second hole, Brennan bounced back with an eagle on the seventh and added seven birdies to solidify his position atop the leaderboard. The 23-year-old from Virginia now sits at -17 overall.

His closest challenger, Matt McCarthy, also carded a 64 on Saturday, bringing him to -15 overall and keeping the pressure on Brennan heading into Sunday’s final round. Tied for third at -14 are Rico Hoey, Kevin Yu, and Pierceson Coody, all hoping for a slip from the leader to move up the board.

Stephan Jaeger Moves Up the Leaderboard

Germany’s Stephan Jaeger, 36, continued his climb with a solid 67 in the third round. His round included five birdies and just one bogey, marking a clean performance. However, his opening round of 72 still weighs on his overall position. With a total of -9, Jaeger improved six spots on the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Paul, 31, posted a respectable 69 on Saturday but remains tied for 37th overall after three consistent rounds.
