How the OWGR Works
The Official World Golf Ranking reflects the performance of professional golfers over a rolling two-year period. Points earned more than two years ago expire weekly. Rankings are based on average points per tournament, not total points, with a maximum of 52 events considered. If a player competes in more than 52 events, only the most recent 52 count. The minimum divisor is 40. Points awarded at each event depend on the strength of the field.
