The DP World Tour enters its final phase with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the first of two Rolex Series Playoffs.

Race to Dubai Playoffs Begin at Yas Links

The DP World Tour season is nearing its conclusion, kicking off the final playoff phase this weekend with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in the United Arab Emirates. Hosted at the Yas Links Golf Course on Yas Island, the event presents a world-class challenge for the 70 top-ranked players in the Race to Dubai standings. With only two events remaining after 40 tournaments across 27 countries, 9,000 crucial points are still up for grabs. Rory McIlroy leads the standings with a commanding margin over England’s Marco Penge.

German-speaking players Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Schneider, and Switzerland’s Joel Girrbach are also in the field. Von Dellingshausen, ranked 33rd, is in strong position to qualify for the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai from November 13–16. Schneider (48th) and Girrbach (60th) will need standout performances to break into the top 50 and secure their spots in the finale.

PGA Tour Heads to Mexico for World Wide Technology Championship

The PGA Tour resumes this weekend at El Cardonal at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, offering a $7.2 million purse. Ryder Cup-winning captain Luke Donald returns to PGA Tour action, joined by World No. 6 J.J. Spaun. German players Stephan Jäger, Jeremy Paul, Thomas Rosenmüller, and Matti Schmid are also in the field, competing for valuable FedEx Cup Fall points. The course, designed by Tiger Woods’ TGR Design, features an ‘Old California’ aesthetic and presents a unique challenge. Coverage airs live on Sky from Thursday to Sunday at 9:00 PM CET.
