Stewart Cink wins Charles Schwab Cup Championship with final-round 67

Stewart Cink claims the Charles Schwab Cup Championship title. Cejka finishes T6, while Langer drops to 14th.

With a flawless final-round 67, Stewart Cink surged to victory at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and overtook Steven Alker in the season-long standings to win his first PGA Tour Champions season title. Cink carded four birdies—two on the front nine and two on the back—without a single bogey to finish four under par for the day.

Alker, who entered the final round ahead, posted five birdies but was set back by four bogeys, including two costly ones on holes 10 and 12. On the 18th, needing a birdie to force a playoff, Alker’s ball went out of bounds, resulting in a drop and a final-round 70—two strokes behind Cink.

PGA Tour Champions: Cejka climbs, Langer slips

Alex Cejka delivered a bogey-free 67 on Sunday to climb into a tie for sixth place. The 54-year-old German made three birdies on the front nine and added another on the 18th to finish at four under par for the tournament.

Bernhard Langer, who had been in strong position after three rounds, struggled on Sunday with a 72. Despite three birdies in his first seven holes, bogeys on holes 3 and 9 left him at -1 at the turn. A birdie on 14 was undone by a double bogey on 15 and another bogey on 17, dropping him to 14th place overall.
