Victor Perez joins Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC for 2026 LIV Golf season

Frenchman Victor Perez replaces Frederik Kjettrup on Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC team for the 2026 LIV Golf season.

With Frederik Kjettrup departing LIV Golf after finishing outside the qualifying spots in the final standings, Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks Golf Club was left with a roster spot to fill. Speculation swirled about who would join the team, and now the Cleeks have announced their new addition: 33-year-old Frenchman Victor Perez. He joins Englishman Richard Bland and Poland’s Adrian Meronk to complete the squad led by Kaymer.

Victor Perez brings a strong international résumé since turning professional in 2015. His victories include the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (2019), Dutch Open (2022), and the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (2023). He also represented France at the Paris Olympics, where, although he didn’t medal, he was celebrated as a national hero alongside fellow Frenchman Matthieu Pavon. Perez has spent the past two seasons on the PGA Tour but was at risk of losing his card after finishing 108th in the FedExCup standings. He had planned to play the RSM Classic, the final event of the FedExCup Fall Series, but withdrew upon announcing his move to LIV Golf.

Victor Perez: “Excited to be part of this new chapter”

“Joining the Cleeks Golf Club for 2026 feels like stepping into the next big chapter in golf,” said Perez. “This team continues to set new standards, compete at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game. The growth of golf is remarkable, and LIV Golf’s innovation is driving that momentum. I’m excited to be part of it and to get started in Riyadh.”

Martin Kaymer welcomes Perez to LIV Golf

Team captain Martin Kaymer expressed his enthusiasm for the addition: “There was tremendous interest from players wanting to join the Cleeks, and we’re thrilled to welcome Victor as the final piece of our roster,” said Kaymer. “As LIV Golf continues to evolve the sport, we’re focused on strengthening our team and contributing to the development of the next generation of global golf stars and fans. Victor embodies the precision and passion that will help us move forward.”

Victor Perez becomes the first French player in the LIV Golf League and will make his debut with the Cleeks at the 2026 season opener in Riyadh.
