Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider posted strong rounds at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, moving into the top 20.
The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, German players Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made significant moves up the leaderboard.
Siem and Schneider Break into the Top 20
Marcel Schneider started hot with four birdies on the front nine, only marred by a bogey on the 9th hole. He added two more birdies on the back nine and finished with a 68 (-4), placing him tied for 20th.
Fellow German Marcel Siem matched Schneider’s position with a stellar 67 (-5), carding eight birdies against two bogeys. After an over-par opening round, Siem’s local knowledge helped him rebound impressively.
