DP World Tour: Siem and Schneider Climb Leaderboard in Mauritius

Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider posted strong rounds at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, moving into the top 20.

The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre on the island of Mauritius. Despite intermittent rain and coastal winds, German golfers Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made notable progress up the leaderboard.

Schneider and Siem Break into Top 20

Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before closing with another bogey, finishing with a 68 for a four-under-par total, placing him tied for 20th.

Marcel Siem also climbed to T20 with an impressive 67, carding eight birdies and two bogeys. His strong second round helped recover from an over-par opening day, keeping him in contention heading into the weekend.

Nick Bachem maintained consistency with a round of 70, balancing two bogeys with four birdies. At two-under-par, he sits tied for 37th, well-positioned for the weekend rounds.

Dominic Foos struggled again, despite a promising start. A double bogey on the 8th hole disrupted his rhythm, and further mistakes on the back nine led to a 75. He missed the cut, finishing tied for 116th.

Allen John Withdraws Mid-Round

Allen John began on the 10th hole but recorded three bogeys and a double bogey before withdrawing midway through his round. He exited the tournament at 14-over-par after one and a half rounds.

At the top of the leaderboard, South Africa’s Casey Jarvis leads at 12-under after a 65. France’s Alexander Levy is two shots back following a bogey-free 66, while Spain’s Manuel Elvira trails by one stroke after a 67 that included seven birdies and two bogeys.
