DP World Tour: Siem and Schneider Climb Leaderboard in Mauritius

Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider posted strong rounds at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, moving into the top 20.

The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, German golfers Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider played their way into the top 20.

Schneider and Siem Make Moves on the Leaderboard

Marcel Schneider opened his front nine with four birdies and only one bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before closing with another bogey, carding a 68 to sit at four-under-par and tied for 20th.

Marcel Siem matched Schneider’s position with an impressive 67, featuring eight birdies and two bogeys. After an over-par opening round, Siem’s local knowledge helped him rebound and climb the leaderboard.

Nick Bachem also showed consistency with a 70, offsetting two bogeys with four birdies. At two-under-par, he sits tied for 37th, maintaining a solid position heading into the weekend.

Dominic Foos had a tough day, starting strong with a birdie but stumbling with a double bogey on the 8th. Despite three birdies on the back nine, additional bogeys and another double bogey led to a 75. At T116, Foos missed the cut.

Allen John Withdraws Mid-Round

Allen John began on the 10th hole but struggled with three bogeys and a double bogey. He withdrew halfway through the round, finishing the event at 14-over-par after three nine-hole rounds.

At the top of the leaderboard, South Africa’s Casey Jarvis leads at 12-under after a 65. France’s Alexander Levy follows two shots back with a bogey-free 66, while Spain’s Manuel Elvira is one stroke behind Levy after
