In the end, it was American Adam Schenk who emerged victorious, finishing the tournament at 12-under-par. Adam Schenk wins PGA Tour title after 243 starts
For Adam Schenk, Sunday marked the realization of a long-awaited dream. The 33-year-old American clinched his maiden PGA Tour victory under some of the toughest conditions he’s ever faced. With wind gusts exceeding 50 km/h, Schenk managed one birdie and several clutch pars to secure the win. His approach on the final hole went just over the green, but he cleverly used his putter to navigate the wind and leave the ball close to the hole. He converted the final putt to seal the victory, jumping to 67th in the FedExCup Fall Rankings and securing his Tour card for next season.
Mixed results for German players in Bermuda
German golfers Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul all finished their final rounds with a 73 (+2), navigating the coastal winds relatively well. Rosenmüller played a steady front nine with 11 straight pars before a bogey on 12 and a birdie on 14. However, two closing bogeys kept him from a top-20 finish, ending T29 at 2-under-par.
Schmid and Paul both started strong with birdies on the first hole. Schmid couldn’t build on the momentum, carding bogeys on 9, 12, and 16 to finish T34. Paul added another birdie early but was set back by three bogeys on the front nine and two more on the closing holes, finishing T46.
Not everyone handled the conditions as well. Braden Thornberry, co-leader after the third round, endured a disastrous final round with a triple bogey, a double bogey, and five more bogeys, finishing nine over par and dropping out of the top 20.
