Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider move into the top 20 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open as Allen John withdraws.
The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, brought solid performances from several German players at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite intermittent rain and coastal winds, Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider both climbed the leaderboard into the top 20.
Siem and Schneider Break into Top 20
Marcel Schneider opened his front nine with four birdies and only one bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before finishing with another bogey on the 18th, carding a 68 to sit at four-under-par and tied for 20th place.
Marcel Siem matched that position with an impressive 67, featuring eight birdies and two bogeys. After a rough opening round over par, Siem’s strong second round brought him back into contention at four-under-par.

Nick Bachem also maintained consistency with a 70, balancing two bogeys with four birdies. At two-under-par, he sits tied for 37th and remains in a solid position heading into the weekend.
Allen John Withdraws Mid-Round
Dominic Foos struggled again, finishing with a 75 after a round that included two double bogeys and multiple birdies and bogeys. At T116, he missed the cut.
Allen John began on the 10th hole and recorded three bogeys and a double bogey before withdrawing midway through his round. He exited the tournament at 14-over-par after playing three nine-hole segments.
At the top of the leaderboard, South Africa’s Casey Jarvis leads at 12-under after a 65. France’s Alexander Levy follows two shots back with a bogey-free 66, while Spain’s Manuel Elvira is just one shot behind Levy after a 67 featuring seven birdies and two bogeys.
