Marc Hammer secures his Asian Tour card in Hua Hin after a dramatic playoff. Other German players miss the cut after round four.
The final stage of the Asian Tour Qualifying School (Q-School) at the Lake View Resort and Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, concluded with 35 players earning their Asian Tour cards. Among them was German golfer Marc Hammer, who clinched his spot after a tense five-hole playoff. Leading the field was China’s Lin Yuxin, who topped the leaderboard after five strong rounds.
Lin Yuxin tops leaderboard at Asian Tour Q-School
Left-handed Lin Yuxin delivered a final-round 67 (-4), continuing his impressive form from earlier rounds (68–67–70–67) to finish at 16-under-par. The 25-year-old’s victory marks a key milestone in his professional career. A two-time Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship winner (2017, 2019), Yuxin played college golf at the University of Florida and turned professional in 2023. He has since competed on the PGA Tour Americas and select Korn Ferry Tour events. Reflecting on his putting struggles, Yuxin said, ‘I played well all season but had issues with the putter, especially in the summer. I worked hard in October and November, and my game has felt good since.’ He added, ‘It’s been tough with ups and downs. Honestly, I just had to stay patient. I’ve learned a lot since turning pro—it’s been a valuable experience.’
India’s Shaurya Bhattacharya finished second at 15-under-par after rounds of 70–67–65–66, but stumbled on the final day with a 72. Canadian Henry Lee secured third place at 14-under-par.

The battle for the final Tour cards came down to a dramatic playoff. Twelve players tied at five-under-par (T28) competed for the remaining eight spots. The 27-year-old from Sandhausen, Baden-Württemberg, posted rounds of 71–67–72–70, finishing with a solid 70 (-2) on the final day. Hammer, who has prior experience on the DP World Tour, proved his competitiveness last season with three top-10 finishes.
Other German participants—Nicolas Horder (T93), Philipp Katich (T100), Wolfgang Glawe (T118), and Julius Kreutzer (T118)—missed the cut after round four and did not advance.
