DP World Tour: Siem and Schneider Shine in Mauritius

Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider moved into the top 20 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, while Allen John withdrew.

The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite intermittent rain and coastal winds, German golfers Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider climbed the leaderboard into the top 20.

Siem and Schneider Break into Top 20

Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a single bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before finishing with another bogey on the 18th, carding a 68 to sit at four-under-par and tied for 20th.

Marcel Siem matched that position with an impressive 67, including eight birdies and two bogeys. After a disappointing opening round over par, his second-round performance brought him back into contention at four-under-par.

Nick Bachem also delivered a steady performance on day two. Despite two bogeys, he balanced them with four birdies to finish with a 70, maintaining a two-under-par total and securing a tie for 37th place.

Dominic Foos had another rough day. After a promising start with a birdie, a double bogey on the 8th hole disrupted his rhythm. He added three birdies on the back nine but also recorded two bogeys and another double bogey, ending with a 75 and missing the cut at T116.

Allen John Withdraws from DP World Tour Event

Allen John began on the 10th hole and struggled with three bogeys and a double bogey before withdrawing midway through his round. He exited the tournament with a total of 14-over-par after playing three nine-hole segments.
