Justin Thomas is out until at least early 2026 due to back surgery – Shane Lowry will take his place at the Skins Games.
American golfer Justin Thomas has not been seen on the tournament circuit since the 2025 Ryder Cup in September. The two-time major champion recently revealed the reason in a social media post: a herniated disc that has caused persistent hip pain, worsened during the Ryder Cup at Bethpage State Park. In mid-November, Thomas underwent a microdiscectomy and has since been in rehabilitation. “The next few weeks will be focused on rest before rehab begins. I have a great team around me that I fully trust to get me back better than ever!” Thomas said of his current condition.
