MercedesTrophy Germany Final 2025: A Celebration of Amateur Golf

From September 1st to 4th, the Öschberghof resort became the epicenter of amateur golf in Germany as it hosted the MercedesTrophy Germany Final 2025. Players who qualified through 13 regional tournaments gathered for three days of team competition, luxury experiences, and unforgettable moments. The event featured celebrity guests, test drives, coaching sessions, and culinary highlights, all under the unifying theme of ‘We are family.’

Team Strategy and Global Qualification

The final saw 52 players compete in five-player teams, with the best two net scores per hole counting toward the team total. The format emphasized strategy and teamwork, with captains guiding their squads from the sidelines. Ultimately, three players—Alexander Drewke (Net A), Martin Hintelmann (Net B), and Dr. Ulrich Göhring (Net C)—secured their spots at the MercedesTrophy World Final.

Charity and Community Spirit

Beyond the competition, the event supported the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. A total of €47,610 was raised through donations during the qualifying rounds, with a symbolic check presented by Laureus ambassador Roman Weidenfeller. The initiative highlighted the tournament’s commitment to giving back and promoting positive social impact through sport.
