2026 Golf Schedule: Major Tournaments, Solheim Cup & Top Events

Majors, Solheim Cup, and four top events in the German-speaking region: Here is an overview of the most important golf dates in 2026. 

The 2026 season offers golf fans a wealth of tournaments. From the prestigious men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and events in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the tournament calendar is packed.

Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige, and Iconic Venues

The traditional start to the men’s Major season is from April 9–12 with the legendary Masters. Following Rory McIlroy’s historic career slam victory at the 2025 Masters, he returns as defending champion at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. The PGA Championship follows from May 4–17 at Aronimink Golf Club, Newton Square, Pennsylvania. Summer kicks off with the US Open from June 18–21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, where J.J. Spaun secured the 2025 title. The season concluding Major is traditionally The Open, held from July 16–19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England, where Scottie Scheffler captured his second Major of the year after winning the PGA Championship.

Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup

The women’s golf season features consecutive highlights in 2026. It begins April 23–26 with the Chevron Championship in Texas. Approximately six weeks later, from June 4–7, the US Women’s Open presented by Ally takes place at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. In 2025, Sweden’s Maja Stark celebrated her first Major win and the first European title in 19 years at the US Women’s Open. Then, from June 25–28, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship is hosted at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. The Amundi Evian Championship follows July 9–12 at Evian Resort Golf Club, France, concluding with the AIG Women’s Open from July 30 to August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England.
