The 2026 season is packed with exciting golf events for fans around the world. From the prestigious men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and top tournaments in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the calendar offers plenty to follow.

Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige and Famous Venues

The men’s Major season kicks off traditionally from April 9-12 with the legendary Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. Following his historic career Grand Slam victory at the 2025 Masters, Rory McIlroy returns as defending champion. Mid-May features the PGA Championship held May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania. Summer brings the US Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, New York, where J.J. Spaun triumphed in 2025. The men’s Majors conclude with The Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England, where Scottie Scheffler secured his second Major win last season.

Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup

The women’s 2026 schedule is equally thrilling. The Chevron Championship in Texas opens the season April 23-26, followed by the US Women’s Open from June 4-7 at Riviera Country Club, California, where Sweden’s Maja Stark won in 2025, securing Europe’s first title there in 19 years. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship takes place June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Minnesota. July includes the Amundi Evian Championship in France (July 9-12) and concludes with the AIG Women’s Open July 30-August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club, England. A major highlight is the biennial Solheim Cup, held September 11-13 at Bernards Golf, Den Bosch, Netherlands, featuring stars like Anne Van Dam, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall and Mel Reid on Team Europe.

Top Tournaments in German-Speaking Countries

Fans in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can enjoy several top-tier professional events. The DP World Tour visits Kitzbühel with the Austrian Alpine Open May 28-31 at Golfclub Kitzbuehel Schwarzsee-Reith and the BMW International Open July 2-5 at Golfclub München Eichenried, which hosted 17 German-speaking players in 2025. The Ladies European Tour includes the Amundi German Masters May 14-17 at Green Eagle Golf Courses near Hamburg, featuring strong German contender performances.
