The 2026 season promises golf fans a packed tournament schedule. From the prestigious men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup, and notable events in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, there is much to look forward to internationally.
Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige, and Great Venues
The men’s Major season opens traditionally from April 9-12 with the legendary Masters. Rory McIlroy, the sixth player and first European ever to complete the career Grand Slam by winning the Masters in 2025, will defend his title at Augusta National Golf Club, Georgia, USA. The PGA Championship follows from May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. Summer begins with the US Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, New York, where American J.J. Spaun won the title in 2025 on home soil. The Major season concludes traditionally with The Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. After Scottie Scheffler’s victory at the PGA Championships, he secured his second Major title of the year at The Open last season.
The Five Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup
The women’s golf season in 2026 is full of highlights as well. The Chevron Championship in Texas starts from April 23-26. Roughly six weeks later, from June 4-7, the US Women’s Open presented by Ally will be held at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. In 2025, Swedish golfer Maja Stark celebrated her first Major win and the first European title at the US Women’s Open in 19 years. Subsequently, from June 25-28, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship takes place at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota. July features the Amundi Evian Championship from July 9-12 at Evian Resort Golf Club, France, before the Major season closes with the AIG Women’s Open from July 30-August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England.
A special highlight in 2026 is the Solheim Cup, the premier women’s team event held every two years. It will take place from September 11-13 at Bernards Golf in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Notable players such as Dutch Anne Van Dam, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall, and Mel Reid are part of Team Europe.
