2026 Golf Calendar: Majors, Solheim Cup & Key Events Preview

Majors, Solheim Cup and four major events in the German-speaking region: key golf dates for 2026 at a glance. 

The 2026 season offers golf fans a packed calendar, ranging from prestigious men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and key tournaments in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige and Iconic Venues

The men’s Major season kicks off April 9-12 with the legendary Masters at Augusta National Golf Club, Georgia, USA. Rory McIlroy, who completed his career Grand Slam by winning the 2025 Masters, returns as defending champion. The PGA Championship follows May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania. Summer highlights include the US Open June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, New York, where American J.J. Spaun claimed the 2025 title. The men’s Major season concludes with The Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England, where Scottie Scheffler won his second Major title last season.

Five Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup

The women’s golf calendar in 2026 features continuous highlights starting with the Chevron Championship April 23-26 in Texas. The US Women’s Open presented by Ally takes place June 4-7 at Riviera Country Club, California, where Sweden’s Maja Stark secured her first Major and Europe’s first US Open win in 19 years in 2025. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship follows June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Minnesota. July sees the Amundi Evian Championship July 9-12 in France and concludes with the AIG Women’s Open July 30-August 2 at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, England. The biennial highlight, the Solheim Cup, will be held September 11-13 at Bernards Golf in Den Bosch, Netherlands, featuring stars like Anne Van Dam, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall and Mel Reid representing Team Europe.

Four Tournaments in the German-speaking Region

Golf enthusiasts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can look forward to four major tournaments. The DP World Tour hosts the Austrian Alpine Open May 28-31 at Golfclub Kitzbühel Schwarzsee-Reith and the BMW International Open July 2-5 in Munich Eichenried, with 17 German-speaking players participating in 2025. The Ladies European Tour features the Amundi German Masters May 14-17 at Green Eagle Golf Courses near Hamburg, promising excitement after five top-20 German placements in 2025. The VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open rounds out the regional calendar August 13-15 at Migros Golfpark Holzhäusern, Switzerland.
