2025 Year in Review: The Best and Most Remarkable Shots of the Year

The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back on the greatest highlight shots and unforgettable moments of 2025 – the year in review.

As the 2025 season wraps up, it’s time to reflect. With the European Team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam campaign, and many other highlights, there is much to remember. Often, the individual shots that led to these successes are overlooked, even though they are just as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year once again featured legendary shots that players and fans alike will remember for a long time.

Rory McIlroy’s Shot on No. 15 at the Masters

Perhaps the most legendary shot of the year happened at the Masters’ 15th hole. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His drive veered slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green on the par-5 hole. While most players would play it safe to secure par, McIlroy took a full-risk shot with a massive draw toward the green, landing the ball just near the pin. This shot not only demonstrated the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam in 2025.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with an Albatross at the US Open

Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses worldwide, and the US Open is a tournament where shooting under par gives you a chance to win. Even more incredible was Patrick Reed’s shot on the fourth hole at this year’s US Open. On the 568-meter par-5, he used a fairway wood on his second stroke and sank a 261-meter shot for an albatross. This was only the fourth albatross in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
