The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back on the biggest highlight shots of the year and remember the unforgettable moments of 2025 – the year in review.
As the 2025 season closes, it’s time to reflect. From the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, to many other highlights, there’s much to remember this year. Often, the specific shots leading to these successes are overshadowed, yet these shots can be as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year, once again, legendary shots were made that players and fans will recall for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on the 15th at the Masters
Probably the most legendary shot of the year came at the Masters’ 15th hole. After 14 holes, Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving the Northern Irishman with a tree between his ball and the green on the Par 5. While most players might play safe to save par, McIlroy took a huge risk, hitting a massive draw toward the green, landing the ball just beside the pin. This shot demonstrated not only McIlroy’s skill but also his tremendous determination to win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where a round under par offers a chance at the title. Patrick Reed’s shot on the fourth hole at this year’s US Open was even more incredible. On the 568-meter Par 5, he took his fairway wood for the second shot and holed a 261-meter shot for an albatross. Only the fourth time in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
