The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back at the greatest highlight shots of the year and remember the unique moments 2025 brought.
As the 2025 season concludes, it is time to look back. With the European team’s Ryder Cup success, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam achievement, and many other highlights, there is much to remember this year. Rarely do we focus on the individual shots that led to these victories, yet these shots are often as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year again, there were legendary shots that both players and fans will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on Hole 15 at the Masters
Probably the most legendary shot of the year came this year on hole 15 at the Masters. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His drive went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would have played safe to get in a better position and save par, McIlroy took full risk and hit an enormous draw toward the green, landing the ball just next to the pin. This shot not only showcased the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination this year to finally win the Masters and complete the career Grand Slam.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the U.S. Open
Oakmont is considered one of the toughest golf courses worldwide and the U.S. Open a tournament where shooting under par can give you a title chance. Patrick Reed’s 4th hole at this year’s U.S. Open was incredible. On the 568-meter par-5, he used his fairway wood for the second shot and holed it from 261 meters for an albatross. This was only the fourth time in U.S. Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
