The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back at the greatest highlight shots and unforgettable moments of the year – the annual review.
As the 2025 season wraps up, it’s time to reflect on the memorable moments. From the European Team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam pursuit, to many other highlights, there is much to remember from this year. Often, the individual shots leading to these successes are overlooked, yet these shots are as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year again featured legendary shots that players and fans will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on No. 15 at the Masters
Arguably the most legendary shot of the year came at the Masters’ 15th hole. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His tee shot veered slightly left, placing a tree between him and the green for his second shot on this par-5 hole. While most players would have played it safe to improve position and secure par, McIlroy took full risk and shaped an enormous draw toward the green, landing the ball just beside the pin. This shot showcased not only the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses worldwide, and the US Open is a tournament where a round under par already presents a title chance. Patrick Reed’s incredible play on the 4th hole at this year’s US Open was nothing short of amazing. On the 568-meter par-5, he used his fairway wood for the second shot and sank the ball from 261 meters for an albatross—the fourth time in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
