The HotelPlanner Tour concludes in Mallorca, the LPGA heads to Malaysia, and Martin Kaymer tees off in Hong Kong.
HotelPlanner Tour: Rolex Grand Final in Mallorca
While the international golf calendar slows down in autumn, the HotelPlanner Tour is heating up with its season finale this weekend. The Rolex Grand Final, supported by The R&A, takes place at Club de Golf Alcanada on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The top players from the Road to Mallorca rankings will compete in Port d’Alcúdia for a share of the €500,000 prize fund and one of 20 coveted DP World Tour cards. Austrian Maximilian Steinlechner, currently second in the rankings, is a strong contender. Fellow Austrian Lukas Nemecz, who narrowly missed promotion last year, sits 19th, while Germany’s Anton Albers is just outside the top 20 at 21st, still in striking distance of a DP World Tour spot.
LPGA Tour: Maybank Championship in Malaysia
The LPGA Tour heads to Kuala Lumpur for the Maybank Championship, a tournament with strong regional representation from Southeast Asia. All sponsor invites went to players from Malaysia and Thailand. Defending champion Yin Ruoning of China returns, alongside France’s Celine Boutier and three-time major winner Lydia Ko of New Zealand. With a $3 million purse and no cut, all players are guaranteed to compete through Sunday’s final round.
