HotelPlanner Tour finale in Mallorca, LPGA in Malaysia, Kaymer in Hong Kong

The HotelPlanner Tour concludes in Mallorca, the LPGA heads to Malaysia, and Martin Kaymer tees off in Hong Kong.

HotelPlanner Tour: Rolex Grand Final in Mallorca

As the international golf calendar winds down for the fall, the HotelPlanner Tour is heating up with its Rolex Grand Final this weekend. Held at Club de Golf Alcanada on the Spanish island of Mallorca, the season-ending event will determine the top 20 players who will earn promotion to the DP World Tour. Austrian Maximilian Steinlechner enters the finale ranked second on the Road to Mallorca standings and is a strong contender to secure his DP World Tour card. Fellow Austrian Lukas Nemecz, who narrowly missed promotion last year, currently sits in 19th place, while Germany’s Anton Albers is just outside the top 20 in 21st place. The event offers a total prize purse of €500,000 and promises high-stakes drama in Port d’Alcúdia.

LPGA Tour: Maybank Championship in Malaysia

The LPGA Tour heads to Kuala Lumpur for the Maybank Championship, a no-cut event with a $3 million purse. The tournament features a strong field with a significant Southeast Asian presence, including sponsor invites exclusively for players from Malaysia and Thailand. Defending champion Ruoning Yin of China returns, alongside France’s Celine Boutier and three-time major winner Lydia Ko of New Zealand. All players will compete through Sunday, making for an action-packed four days at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.

Asian Tour: Martin Kaymer at Hong Kong Open

LIV golfer Martin Kaymer will compete in the historic Hong Kong Open this weekend, part of the Asian Tour. Played at the Hong Kong Golf Club, the event has been a fixture since 1959 and is one of Asia’s most prestigious tournaments. With a $2 million prize fund, it attracts a strong international field. The course is known for its colonial-era architecture, reflecting the city’s British heritage prior to the 1997 handover to China.
