How Tiger Woods Is Celebrating His 50th Birthday in Style

With a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor, Tiger Woods’ birthday party is set for January.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30th, and the milestone will be celebrated in grand style. His foundation is hosting a major event on January 14th with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, according to Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

A golf legend’s 50th birthday deserves a big celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” around 300 guests will join the festivities. The party takes place at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. Hosted by Woods’ TGR Foundation, the event aims to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the course while also looking ahead to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, alongside other sports figures.

The Theme

The evening centers around the birthday star. The dress code is “a touch of red,” a nod to the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major champion which also inspired his own apparel line. The menu for the evening draws inspiration from the meals Tiger enjoyed at the Champions Dinner after winning his five Masters titles, including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired menu from his first Masters victory, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the night, which is even presented by the title sponsor Ernst & Young.

The Cause

The event not only celebrates 50 years in Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
