Tiger Woods’ birthday celebration in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, a milestone being celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
A golf legend turning 50 calls for a large celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” around 300 guests will join in the festivities at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is hosted by Woods’ TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course and look towards the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other sports personalities.
The Theme
The evening centers around the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” referencing the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his apparel line. The dinner menu draws inspiration from meals served at Tiger’s Champions Dinner after his five Masters wins, possibly including items from the McDonald’s-inspired menu he famously chose after his first Masters win, such as cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. The evening will also feature a performance by Jon Bon Jovi and is presented by the title sponsor Ernst & Young.
Supporting a Good Cause
The event not only celebrates 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the event to expand its TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
