Tiger Woods to Celebrate 50th Birthday with Star-Studded Event in January

Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday celebration in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and the milestone will be celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a big celebration. Under the motto “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” the milestone birthday will be celebrated with about 300 guests at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Woods’ achievements on and off the course while also looking to the future. The guest list includes friends such as Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other prominent figures from the sports world.

The Theme

The evening will be centered entirely around the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” recalling the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major champion that also inspired his own clothing line. The evening’s menu is further inspired by the meals Woods served at the Champions Dinner following his five Masters victories, potentially including elements of the McDonald’s-inspired meal from his first Masters win where Woods served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the night, which even has a dedicated sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young is presenting the evening.

The Charitable Cause

However, the event is not only to celebrate 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also to mark the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to support the expansion of the TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
