Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday party in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30th, and this milestone is being celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14th with an exclusive guest list, a star musical act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
A golf legend like Tiger Woods turning 50 calls for a grand celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ about 300 guests will celebrate the milestone at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to celebrate Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course while looking to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other sports stars.
The Theme
The evening will revolve around the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red,’ a nod to the iconic final-round outfit worn by the 15-time major champion, which also inspired his own clothing line. The evening’s menu is inspired by the meals Woods enjoyed at the Champions Dinner following his five Masters wins, including possible elements from the McDonald’s-inspired meal of his first Masters victory, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will round off the night, which is even presented by a title sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young.
The Charitable Cause
The event is not only a celebration of 50 years in Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million at the event to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, offering free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
