Futuristic hole design, Tiger Woods’ signature shot, and high-tech golf: TGL kicks off its second season in style.
As traditional golf tournaments wind down for the winter, the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) is set to launch its second season in spectacular fashion. Founded in 2022 by golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, the TGL will finally debut after a delay, with the season opener scheduled for December 28, 2025. On social media platform X.com, the league revealed a jaw-dropping new hole design that blends fantasy and reality, reminiscent of a futuristic video game landscape.
The ‘Stinger’ Takes Center Stage in New Hole Design
Tiger Woods’ iconic “Stinger” shot is the focal point of the newly unveiled par-4 hole. A stinger is a low, piercing shot ideal for windy or tight conditions, allowing the ball to roll extensively after landing. The hole features a natural rock formation that limits ball flight to approximately 15 meters, encouraging players to execute a stinger to maximize distance—up to 260 yards—toward the first landing zone. The hole also includes up to two doglegs, adding strategic complexity. Alternatively, players can opt for a safer mid-height shot around the rock, but this route makes achieving par-4 significantly more challenging.
