TGL kicks off its new season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The second season of TGL begins with a familiar showdown. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again, reprising the final matchup from the inaugural season. Atlanta narrowly won both final matches by a single point and enters the new season as reigning champions. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised to the rafters, followed by the match in the familiar format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, and Atlanta opens play on the first hole. The lineups feature well-known names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC Brings Proven Strengths
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, earning the most Hammer points across the league. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles matchups against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in points and showcasing power off the tee.
New Course Features and Format Enhancements
With the start of the new season, TGL has made several technical upgrades. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contour changes, increasing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-specific holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add unique flair. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
