TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club to open the new season at the SoFi Center.
The second season of TGL begins with a familiar showdown. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will face off in a repeat of last season’s final. Atlanta narrowly won both final matches by a single point and enters the new campaign as reigning champion. Before the opening tee shot, the championship banner will be raised in the SoFi Center. The match follows the familiar format with Triples and Singles segments. Both teams begin with three Hammers, and Atlanta will tee off first. The lineups feature well-known names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC enters with proven strengths
Atlanta Drive GC starts the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, scoring the most Hammer points league-wide. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained unbeaten in Singles matches against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points and made his mark with powerful drives off the tee.
New season brings technical course updates
The TGL has made several updates to the playing environment for the new season. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more flag positions and varied putting lines. Beneath the turf, additional actuators now allow for adjustable contours, adding tactical depth. The hole catalog has also been refreshed. New holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote will debut, alongside team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
