TGL kicks off new season with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second TGL season kicks off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again on December 28 at the SoFi Center. The two teams met in last season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly claimed the title with a one-point margin in both matches. Before the opening tee shot, the championship banner will be raised, followed by the match featuring the familiar Triples and Singles format. Both teams start with three Hammers, and Atlanta will tee off on the first hole. Star-studded lineups include Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, and Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC brings proven strengths

Atlanta enters the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, scoring the most Hammer points in the league. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles matches against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York, after starting 0–2, rallied to make the playoffs. Cameron Young was the league’s top scorer and stood out with his driving distance.

New season, new course dynamics

TGL has introduced several technical upgrades for the new season. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contour changes, increasing tactical options. The hole catalog has also been updated, featuring new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York complete the 15-hole custom course.
