TGL Season 2 kicks off with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL opens its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar rivalry as Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again on December 28. These two teams met in last season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly clinched the title by a single point in both matches. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised in the SoFi Center, followed by the match in the familiar format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Each team begins with three Hammers, with Atlanta taking the first hole. The lineups feature well-known names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC returns with proven strengths

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, earning the most Hammer points in the league. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and showcasing his power off the tee.

New tech brings more variety to the course

TGL has made significant changes to the playing surface for the new season. The GreenZone has been expanded to allow for more pin positions and varied putting lines. Beneath the turf, new actuators create adjustable contours, offering more tactical options. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a unique twist. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
