Sky Sport Secures Live Rights for LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing the broadcasting rights for the PGA Tour and DP World Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV from 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights for LIV Golf and the key tournaments of the Asian Tour starting in 2026, amounting to about 600 hours of live coverage on television.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss by Entering LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Deutschland, is pleased that Sky Sport holds long-term rights for all four men’s Major tournaments, the five women’s Major tournaments, other major women’s events, and now additionally the rights to the LIV Golf league and the Asian Tour. He states, ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and the unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events featuring many of the most exciting and top players in the world.’

The partnership begins on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wild card spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 season. Among the participants are German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM live.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour, and over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer a comprehensive golf program. From January 15, 2026, tournaments from the DP World Tour and PGA Tour will be available on Magenta TV. Fans wishing to follow golf live weekly and watch major tournaments on their devices will need two subscriptions.
