Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA and DP World Tour rights, Sky Sport secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour rights from 2026 with 600 hours of live coverage.

Following the loss of exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV starting in 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the main tournaments of the Asian Tour from 2026 onwards. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live golf on television.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss by Entering LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, expressed his excitement that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s Major tournaments, the five women’s Majors, key women’s tournaments, as well as the LIV Golf league and the Asian Tour. He stated, “The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.”

The partnership kicks off on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wildcard spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab, among others, will participate. Sky Sport Golf will air the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League, the Asian Tour, and over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer an extensive golf package. From January 15, 2026, coverage of DP World Tour and PGA Tour events will be available on Magenta TV. Golf fans wanting weekly live viewing of major tournaments across their devices will need two separate subscriptions.
